Tania Oldaker Elected to ESIA Board

Ecovantage’s COO Tania Oldaker has been elected to the Energy Savings Industry Association (ESIA) Board as Assistant Secretary

Energy Savings Industry Association member

In the annual board elections held on 14 November, Ecovantage’s COO Tania Oldaker was voted in as the ESIA board’s Assistant Secretary. Tania brings a wealth of knowledge of the energy industry, along with 20+ years of experience in General Management and C-suite roles, having worked in commercial operations, strategic planning, and business growth across a range of businesses in both the private and public sectors. Since entering the energy industry with Ecovantage in 2020, Tania has been deeply involved with the Victorian Energy Upgrades, Energy Savings Scheme, Peak Demand Reduction Scheme, Renewable Energy Target and the Emission Reductions Fund, bringing a broad knowledge base with her to the ESIA.

Ecovantage has a long-held relationship with the ESIA since our founder and CEO Bruce Easton convened an association of certificate creators in 2009, the Energy Efficiency Certificate Creators Association (EECCA) which would later rebrand to ESIA in 2018. Bruce served as the President for seven years, followed by two years as a board member until 2019, when then-Ecovantage GM Cae Mantovanni joined the board and continued Ecovantage’s representation.

The Ecovantage team is excited for what Tania will bring to the position of Assistant Secretary, and we know she’ll have an immediate impact. In fact – her first position paper has already been sent in!

The ESIA is the peak national, independent association of businesses accredited to create energy certificates within Australian schemes. They represent and self-regulate these businesses, and advocate for market-based energy savings schemes within Australia, improve the integrity and efficiency of energy markets, and address issues facing the industry.
