New Federal Government EV Scheme.

The Road to Zero Emissions.

The Federal Government has just announced a strategy for removing the barriers to purchasing EVs.

The focus is on three areas:

  • The supply of EVs
  • The systems and infrastructure needed to support the uptake
  • The demand from drivers for EVs

This strategy is the first of it’s kind to be released in Australia and looks to follow the lead of other similar countries.

As part of this strategy the government will introduce a Fuel Efficiency Standard which will effectively mean the more efficient the car, the less money it will cost you!
