End of Year Wrap Up from Our CEO Bruce Easton

2022 has been a huge year for Ecovantage. While we have said farewell to some great employees who have embarked on their next adventures, we have welcomed 29 to the team to come on our journey. To keep up with our growing business, we have just moved each of our four offices into larger, brighter and more energy efficient environments.

To top it all off, we have completed more certificates than ever before, having just finished the largest ever audit in NSW – 380,000 HEER certificates. In fact, in NSW in the last month, we will have completed a 150,000 HEER audit, a 380,000 HEER audit, and we are now in both a 150,000 HEER audit and a 200,000 commercial lighting audit!

These are just numbers, but they are big, and don’t do justice for all the fridges, hot water systems and lights that have been installed, all of which are now saving people electricity, money and reducing carbon emissions.

South Australia has now topped half a million REPS, with further growth contracted for next financial year. Victoria, not to be outdone, has a different spin on the same growth story with close to 30 solar VEEC jobs in the system. These take 15 months or so as they are measurement and verification (M&V) jobs, with the first of them registered just a few weeks ago.

Then there’s LGCs, STCs and even some ACCUs. If that’s not enough, the unfortunately named PERCs will start to come through for reductions specifically targeting peak times in NSW.

So, yes, 2022, has indeed been big for Ecovantage, our employees, and all of the partners, so a break at the end of year has been very well earned. Such growth brings its own challenges and I thank all those that have been involved in it. Thanks for the hard work, the patience and the dedication. Everyone deserves a break because I have a feeling 2023 may be even bigger!

 Bruce Easton, CEO of Ecovantage
