Brighten Up Your Workplace: The Benefits of Switching to LED Lighting.

How do I know if my business is suited for an LED upgrade?

LED lights are one of the most efficient and durable lighting solutions you can get for your business. If you are using traditional lighting solutions, such as fluorescent fixtures and halogen downlights, then it’s time to upgrade. Thanks to rebates under government energy saver schemes, you can make your workplace brighter with LED lighting upgrades such as downlights, panels, and shop lights at a discounted price.

Ecovantage understands that every business has unique requirements, so we provide a free energy assessment-reviewing your energy bills and the way your business operates. We will help you identify areas where you’re wasting energy and recommend practical solutions to improve energy efficiency. Our goal is to help you save money in the long run and reduce your business’s carbon footprint.

LED lights can save you between 80 & 95% on your office lighting energy consumption.

LEDs have a significantly lower output compared to incandescent bulbs, which release up to 90% of their energy as heat. LEDs emit light in a specific direction, reducing the need for reflectors and diffusers that can trap light, making them a perfect alternative for office recessed downlights and task lighting.

Slash maintenance costs.

LED lighting is built to last. Unlike old halogen lights made from glass which can break when dropped, or shrink when they come in contact with water – LED lights use plastic coverings, ensuring durability and safety in the workplace.

With a lifespan of over 25,000 hours, they far outperform ordinary lighting solutions, which typically last only 3,600 hours. This means that an LED bulb can last more than 15 years compared to just 2-3 years for a halogen bulb. The durability of LED lights makes them a fantastic choice for use in recessed lighting fixtures, particularly in tall ceilings where replacing a bulb can be a hassle. So, as a business owner, you can enjoy peace of mind knowing that your LED lights will keep shining bright for years to come.

Energy efficient LED lighting

Reduce pressure on aircon-systems in summer.

High-heat emitting lights in an office setting can have a dramatic impact on the temperature inside your workspace. This increased temperature results in constant air conditioning adjustments, leading to your aircon consuming 10% more energy for every range above 18°C. By swapping to LEDs, you can avoid overheating and bring down the aircon consumption.

Light up your workspace!

LEDs are most commonly available in three different light settings: warm, cool, and daylight white. The ideal light setting for your business depends on the question “What atmosphere do you want to create?”. If it’s an office lighting space, cool white is ideal as it can increase productivity and concentration. However, if you want a cosier feel then a warm white would be more suitable, and for more functional areas, such as car park and fire stairs then a daylight colour is probably the best way to go.

Reduce your carbon footprint.

Since 2007 we have abated close to 8 million tonnes of CO2 and counting. Our goal is to reach 10 million tonnes by 2025.

Your business can positively contribute to the environment by upgrading to more energy-efficient solutions. By replacing old lights, you can reduce your businesses lighting energy consumption by between 60 and 95%, reducing the reliance on fossil fuels.
