Brewing a Better Future

Ecovantage & Matilda Bay’s Sustainable Partnership

We are delighted to share that we recently partnered with Matilda Bay Brewery through South Pole for a Carbon and Energy Assessment. Our goal is to measure their true energy usage patterns and provide actionable strategies to move towards sustainability, with an emphasis on reducing the site’s running costs and Scope 2 emissions. With many companies looking for real change this is a fantastic first step.

Matilda Bay has already taken steps towards sustainability with their implementation of solar and energy-efficient lighting. Our goal now is to identify the next logical steps for the brewery on their sustainability journey as they pave the way forward for the industry.

Our team will present Matilda Bay with a clear picture of their energy consumption and how it impacts the site’s greenhouse gas footprint, as well as key strategies to reduce their footprint and adopt more sustainable practices. We’ll also explore state and federal support options and show how existing expenditures can be reallocated to self-fund these changes.

Our Energy Solutions Specialist, Rob Nap’bleidick, and Senior M&V Project Manager, Gazi Oteiwi, had the pleasure of meeting the brewery’s Financial Controller, Andrew Dunn, and their Head Brewer, Harry Sexton, at a recent brewery tour (pictured), in order to gain insight into what they do and their day-to-day operations.

Cheers to a greener future for Matilda Bay and all organisations working towards true sustainability.
