Organisations We Support

Streat is a social enterprise offering disadvantaged youth a supported pathway from the street to a sustainable livelihood. A portfolio of eight hospitality businesses form the location where young people get their training and work experience, and where they generate the funds to continue this work.

Recently our senior management team enjoyed a two day strategy session in the upstairs board room of Streat in Cromwell St, Collingwood. The facility itself is a little funky and edgy, it has a great feel and has been fitted out very impressively. Some of the great energy flowed upstairs as did the coffee and excellent food.

Friends of the Earth (FoE) Melbourne is a non-for profit organisation working for a socially equitable and environmentally sustainable future. The international Friends of the Earth network is active in 77 countries with over 2 million members.

FoE campaigns from the local to global level: it is part of the FoE Australia network, which currently includes eight local groups around the country. FoE Australia is, in turn, the national member of FoE International, which is now active in more than 70 countries.

We Purchase our dish liquid & powder, hand wash, tea and sugar from friends of the Earth.

Insight38 is a growing local business, helping us and others make significant progress with their data capabilities.

Through the great work they do, Insight38 donates 10% of their profits to Foodbank Victoria. To date their donations have provided 25,000 meals to fellow Australians in need.

Tutti Arts (South Australia) is a multi arts organisation that seeks to address the social and professional isolation of artists and takes work of artists with disability to the world.

They do this by supporting skills development aimed at enabling individuals and collectives to negotiate, build strong creative relationships, develop their own networks, and realise how far they can take their work.

The Ecovantage Adelaide office is furnished with art by the artists at Tutti, for anyone interested the arts, Tutti runs a range of programs and events for visual and performing arts that are definitely worth checking out.

Arts Project Australia supports artists with intellectual disabilities, by promoting their work and advocating their inclusion in contemporary art practice. They were the first full-time art studio in Australia for artists with an intellectual disability and have built a reputation both in Australia and internationally on this front.

Ecovantage supports Arts Project by filling our Melbourne head office with art by many of their artists as well as purchasing their gift cards and calendars for our staff and partners.

The artists at Arts Project create amazing work, you can find some displayed at their beautiful contemporary gallery space in Northcote, Melbourne.

Studio A is a supported studio based in Sydney that tackles the barriers that artists living with intellectual disability face in accessing conventional education, professional development pathways and opportunities needed to be successful and renowned visual artists. The enterprise paves professional pathways for such artists so that they can achieve their artistic and economic aspirations.

Revenue derived from the program’s activities is invested back into the program and income derived from the sale and exhibition of artwork directly benefits the artist.

Ecovantage supports Studio A by decorating our Sydney office with art by Studio A Artists.

The Energy Savings Industry Association (ESIA) is Australia’s peak national, independent association representing and self-regulating businesses that are accredited to create and trade in energy efficiency certificates in market-based energy efficiency schemes across the country. These activities underpin the energy efficiency schemes which facilitate the installation of energy efficient products and services to households and businesses.

Renew is a not for profit organisation that provides expert, independent advice on sustainable solutions for the home to households, government, industry and corporate clients. Renew advocates in government and industry arenas for easy access to sustainable solutions as continual improvement of the technology, information and products needed to change the way we live.

Renew publishes two market-leading sustainable living magazines, Sanctuary: modern green homes and ReNew: technology for a sustainable future both of which Ecovantage hold subscriptions for.

Both magazines have interesting and valuable information and are worthwhile reading for anyone interested in sustainability.

Women’s Property Initiatives is a not-for-profit, women-specific, Australian Registered Housing Provider. They work with the private, public and non-government sectors to develop high-quality, safe and affordable housing.

We have worked with WPI in a pro bono capacity to upgrade old inefficient lighting in their properties to LED. This improves energy efficiency and helps the tenants save on their power bills.

We have completed a number of upgrades for WPI, including solar PV and heat pump hot water upgrades. Read more >

The Energy Efficiency Council (EEC) is a not-for-profit membership association which exists to make sensible, cost effective energy efficiency measures standard practice across the Australian economy. We work on behalf of our members to promote stable government policy, provide clear information to energy users and drive the quality of energy efficiency products and services.

Ecovantage CEO, Bruce Easton is a board member of the EEC.

In 2015, Good360 was launched in Australia with big goals; to deliver one billion dollars worth of goods to Australians in need.

Good360 helps businesses connect their brand new unsold goods with charities to help Australians in need. The goods range from clothing and health products to toys.

Ecovantage has supported Good360 by donating a considerable number of LED globes and other energy efficient products.

Since 1969, independent and not for profit organisation Environment Victoria has been campaigning to look after Victoria’s environment, today they are one of Australia’s leading environmental organisations. Made up of more than 40 grassroots member groups and 100,000 individual supporters, we are proud to be one of these supporters by making a monthly donation.

Environment Victoria stands up for a safe climate, healthy rivers and a sustainable future.

Carbon Neutral Adelaide aims to make Adelaide a 100% carbon neutral by 2050, making it the first in the world. Ecovantage has joined many other great organisations to help make this plan come to life by becoming founding partner of Carbon Neutral Adelaide, in doing this we are contributing to Adelaide’s goal of becoming the first carbon neutral city and overall contributing to the improvement of the planet.

The Carbon Neutral Adelaide Partner Program celebrates and empowers business and community organisations to rapidly reduce carbon emissions, provide leadership and encourage others to take action. As a founding partner, Ecovantage is committed to reducing our own, our clients and the communities carbon emissions.

Zero Emissions Noosa (ZEN) is an incorporated, not-for-profit community group of businesses and volunteers who work to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions for the Noosa Shire by 2026. This fantastic initiative is supported by local businesses and the community who facilitate discussion and action for energy-efficient solutions for homes and businesses.

Led by our Queensland GM and team, Ecovantage is proud to join this much-needed organisation and supports its goals to create a climate-aware Noosa.

At Ecovantage, we support councils and local governments making the switch to energy-efficient practices to ensure they are doing their part in this global challenge.

Endeavour Foundation is an independant, for purpose organisation established in 1951 with a vision to support people with an intellectual disability to live their best life – starting with equal access to education and life-skills learning.

Aaron Jenkins, Ecovantage’s GM of Large Energy Users, was one of the team members hard at work volunteering to assist with the installation of a 13kW solar system with 10kW hybrid battery to help Endeavour cover the costs of their operations, allowing for them to help more people live their best lives.
