IPART has updated its PDRS Method Guide to clarify several key points regarding BESS for 1 November launch.
IPART has updated its Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS) Method Guide to clarify several key points regarding battery storage systems (BESS) ready for today’s (1 November) program launch.
Key Changes are as follows:
BESS1 Co-payment
The co-payment for the BESS1 activity, which involves installing a behind-the-meter battery system, now applies per battery system or National Metering Identifier (NMI).
BESS2 Demand Response Contracts
It has been clarified that the demand response contract for the BESS2 activity, which involves signing up a battery system for demand response, does not need to be signed by the Demand Response Aggregator.
Battery System Capacity Limit
Battery systems with a total usable battery capacity of 28kWh or greater are no longer eligible for the PDRS. Additionally, certificates cannot be created for the first 28 kWh of larger systems, even if they are comprised of multiple smaller batteries.
BESS1 & 2 PDRS activities are now available to trade with Ecovantage.
The long awaited PDRS Battery scheme is finally here. To streamline the process for BESS creations, Ecovantage has partnered with two industry-leading technology companies, Formbay and Bridgeselect.
