BESS1 & BESS2 Fact Sheets & Audit Scopes Released.
In an update on Tuesday, IPART released several documents relating to the upcoming battery activities under the Peak Demand Reduction Scheme (PDRS).
To ensure all customers participating in the PDRS make informed decisions when assessing quotes from battery providers, regulatory fact sheets have been developed and must be provided at the quotation stage. All companies marketing under the PDRS are required to attach these fact sheets to customer quotes to comply with these requirements.
Also included in the release were audit scopes for the activities, outlining minimum evidence requirements for each installation, including adherence to Australian installation and safety standards. These minimum evidence requirements are a starting point for Accredited Certificate Providers (ACPs) when compiling their list of evidence for each installation. Failure to adhere to an ACP’s list of required evidence will delay the successful registration of the claim and, therefore, the associated monetary benefit.
