Sustainability
At Ecovantage we are in the business of energy savings. On top of helping our customers become more energy efficient we take steps in our day-to-day practice to reduce our own impact on the environment. The simple practices can be adopted by many organisations.
These steps include:
- Buying recycled and refillable stationary where available
- Using recycled toilet paper, tissues and paper towels from social enterprises
- Refilling all cleaning products and consumables where available
- Providing reusable takeaway cups for the daily pick-me-up
- Purchasing fruit and milk from the local community
- Composting where possible
Walking the Talk with EVs
In 2021 Ecovantage was proud to roll out a fleet of electric vehicles for our Queensland team, walking the talk on sustainability.
We know that electric vehicles can still be powered by fossil fuel-derived energy, so we buy certified green energy. Our Queensland team charge their vehicles whilst at work, during day time hours from a solar system on the shared office space roof.
We are Climate Active carbon neutral so we revisit the energy/fuels our cars use each year for our greenhouse gas inventory to ensure if there is any emissions left, we offset them with LGCs or Carbon Credits.
